We rebuilt our home after losing it in the 2020 Glass Fire. Gabriel and his crew handled the electrical work through our contractor. I want to be clear — I don't leave bad reviews lightly. This one is deserved.
The workmanship issues were apparent once we moved back in. Two separate rooms have switches wired incorrectly — in one, the back porch light won't respond unless an unrelated bathroom light is already on. In another, flipping an exterior switch locks out every other switch in the room until you reset it. Frustrating, but livable.
The fire alarms were not.
They began faulting shortly after we moved in. When I called Gabriel and explained it was an emergency, he told me two weeks. We went through the contractor, who sent out a former Wendt employee. He discovered all five hardwired detectors were three different brands — a likely cause of faults — and replaced them with matching units. They faulted again. When I called Gabriel, he told me it was no longer his problem since someone else had touched them.
We hired an independent inspector. They found one detector installed less than an inch from an air vent — not to code, and a probable fault trigger. Gabriel's crew put it there.
Eventually, through the contractor, Gabriel agreed to come out. He gave me a date that was "50/50" — I pushed back, explained I had to take a day off work, and he committed to a firm date at the end of the month.
He didn't show.
When he finally reached back out, he told me his mother had passed away. I told him I was sorry, that it could wait, he told me that I'd hear from him the following Sunday with a new date.
Sunday came and went. A week later I texted asking if he had any availability. No response. I waited thirty days, called, no answer. I sent one final message: will you or will you not help us?
Nothing.

Gabe and his team did an excellent job with our electrical panel upgrade. Gabe stood out from other vendors in the initial quote phase- he was prompt and proactive with communicating, and tailored a good recommendation to our requirements. He and his team were thorough, efficient, and effective with the job. Very happy with the results!

I contracted with Wendt Electric to upgrade my electrical service panel in order to install a heat pump system in my home. Gabe made a personal inspection of my current system, provided me an accurate and reasonable estimate for the work, and assigned the job to two excellent employees. They completed the work in one morning. Gabe also handled the permitting through the city and arranged for the final inspection when the work was completed. The inspection went off without any issues. I am completely satisfied with Wendt Electric. They were accurate, efficient, courteous and did an overall outstanding job. Highly recommend them without reservation.

Gabriel did a great job is dealing with PG &E and the city of Santa Rosa for permitting to get my dangerous and old electrical breakers and
panel replaced.
We were only without electricity for one day when they did the upgrade .

Gabe, Edwin and Calvin were great to work with. This was our second job with them and both instances the team was professional, kind and demonstrated expertise in the services provided. We switched out all our outlet and switch covers - they look modern and great now. They also switched out an exterior light and modified a dining fixture quickly and with top quality. Totally recommend !
